for thirty days is to prove that it's not our activities or objects that inspire us. Inspiration comes from our own minds - it's how we look at life. This is a mindset that can be, should be cultivated. Without it, there is no wonder in the world.

For inspiration, look no further than your underwear drawer. Write about your underwear, and what it represents to you.

My underwear drawer is open, smelling lemony, a mass of thin knits, pastels, bikinis and bralettes and the odd wool sock. They are all skinny flimsy things meant to lie next to first skin, smoothing and padding for the final layers . . .
